On the morning of June 19th, the Silk Road Youth Forum was full of laughter. Youth from the "Belt and Road" countries and the Silk Road Youth Forum Secretariat wrapped zongzi together and happily celebrated the Dragon Boat Festival.

The fresh reed leaves were green, and the white grains of rice were refreshing; The red beans exuded warmth, and red dates released sweetness.

Tying the gorgeous five-colour silk thread while embracing the Chinese culture, wearing the red gold thread sachet, the breath of China's new era is felt.

Silk Road youth from Vietnam, Laos and other countries have heard the story of the Dragon Boat Festival and Qu Yuan since childhood; Young people from Myanmar have always retained the habit of eating zongzi at home, but the way they are eaten is different; An international doctorate student from Sudan, shares his hometown has no reeds and bamboo, no Jiangmi, and has not heard of Chinese zongzi, but he has been studying in China for many years, every Dragon Boat Festival, the school's canteen prepares a variety of zongzi for each international student, so he already knows the taste of zongzi and some Dragon Boat culture. When he became the first to wrap the "zongzi" like a traditionally wrapped zongzi, during everyone's congratulations, with one hand raised holding the zongzi, the other pointed to the sachet on his chest, he declared that he was the "zongzi champion".

Although the rice dumplings wrapped by everyone had different looks, they further understood the culture in the rice dumplings during conversations, gained some new understanding of the origin of the rice dumplings, and then talked about Chinese culture. Studying in China, they not only gain professional knowledge but also gradually understand the Chinese humanistic spirit, especially the belief in folk culture. The young people also mentioned the traditional festivals in their countries.

The Dragon Boat Festival has a rich cultural connotation and a profound humanistic spirit. This culture has a wide influence in the world, and some countries and regions around the world also have activities to celebrate it. In May 2006, the State Council of China included the Dragon Boat Festival in the first batch of the national intangible cultural heritage list; In September 2009, UNESCO officially approved the Dragon Boat Festival to be included in the "Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity", becoming the first Chinese festival to be included in the World Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Cooked rice dumplings were eaten and wrapped with happy laughter. Everyone said that this was the first time they wrapped rice dumplings with their own hands, and it was the first time they ate their own rice dumplings. This was the most meaningful holiday they had spent in China.
