今年是柬中建交67周年，回顾历史，我们深切感受到两国友谊深厚。

This year marks the 67th anniversary ofthe establishment of diplomatic relationsbetween Cambodia and China.Looking backon history,we deeply feel the profoundfriendship between the two countries.

2013年，我应邀参加由中国银行主办的“一带一路”国际合作金融论坛，那是我与共建“一带一路”倡议的首次邂逅。自那时起，为了更深入理解和介绍这一伟大倡议，我开始更加努力地学习中文，深入研究高质量共建“一带一路”的丰富内涵。

In 2013,I was invited to attend theBelt and Road Forum for InternationalCooperation hosted by the Bank of China.That was my first encounter with theinitiative of joint1y building the Belt andRoad.Since then,in order to have a deeperunderstanding and introduction of this greatinitiative,I have begun to study Chineseharder and conduct in-depth research onthe rich connotations of the high-qualityjoint construction of the "Belt and RoadInitiative".

近年来，在共建“一带一路”倡议的引领下，柬中合作结出累累硕果。柬埔寨西哈努克港经济特区吸引200家中资企业入驻，中柬友好扶贫示范村项目推动柬中民间合作，中国政府奖学金每年资助大批柬埔寨青年赴华深造……

In recent years,under the guidance ofthe Belt and Road Initiative,Cambodia andChina have achieved fruitful results intheir cooperation.The Sihanoukville SpecialEconomic Zone in Cambodia has attracted200 Chinese-funded enterprises to settle  in.The China-Cambodia Friendship PovertyAlleviation Demonstration Village Projecthas promoted people-to-people cooperationbetween Cambodia and China.The ChineseGovernment Scholarship funds a large numberof Cambodian youth to pursue further studiesin China every year...

我们愿与各国朋友一道推动高质量共建“一带一路”,传承丝路精神，深化文明互鉴，携手构建人类命运共同体，唱响和平与发展的时代主旋律。

We are willing to work with friendsfrom all countries to promote high-qualityjoint construction of the Belt and RoadInitiative,carry forward the spirit ofthe Silk Road,deepen mutual learningamong civilizations,join hands to build acommunity with a shared future for mankind,and sing the main theme of the times ofpeace and development.

My wife,Hao Yaye,was born in Xinjiang.Therefore,I have visited this magnificentplace located in the core area of the SilkRoad Economic Belt many times.Our daughterChristina is also determined to become acommunication bridge between the East andthe West.

中国从来不是一个只关注自身利益的国家，而是心系世界。前段时间，我时隔20年回到伊拉克，看到中国企业为伊拉克带来的巨大变化。中国企业新建的桥梁让交通更便捷，中国援建的学校让孩子们露出笑容。我真切感受到高质量共建“一带一路”为全球带来的福祉和中国的责任与担当。

China has never been a country thatonly focuses on its own interests;instead,it has the whole world at heart.Some time ago,I returned to Iraq after a 20-yearabsence and witnessed the tremendous changesthat Chinese enterprises have brought toIraq.The newly-built Bridges by Chineseenterprises have made transportation moreconvenient,and the schools aided by Chinahave brought smiles to children's faces.Itruly feel the benefits brought to the worldby the high-quality joint construction ofthe Belt and Road Initiative and China'sresponsibility and commitment.
