喀麦隆是一个美丽的非洲国家，由于其文化的多样性而被称为“非洲的缩影”。目前，中华人民共和国与喀麦隆共和国正在庆祝建交五十周年，强调进一步加强共建“一带一路”合作的重要性。作为一个年轻的喀麦隆人，我感到非常振奋，特别受鼓舞。

我第一次接触中国文化是在我最早的成长过程中。我童年的记忆中，充满了李连杰、成龙和李小龙的惊险经历，这些电影在当时是通过录像机播放的。这是我对中国文化感到惊奇和敬畏的一个源泉。这些电影是我通往中国文明基础知识的门户，逐渐引起我对中国文化更大的兴趣和更多的了解，比如武术、烹饪艺术、中式服装、中国建筑，等等。对我来说，这些东西都充满了中华文化，中华文明，中国人民的智慧。

Cameroon is a beautiful African nation known as "Africa in miniature" due to its cultural diversity. Currently celebrating its 50th diplomatic relations anniversary with the People's Republic of China, Cameroon stresses the importance of mutually developing the belt and road initiative. As a young Cameroonian, I feel inspired and motivated.

My first encounter with the Chinese culture was during the formative years of my development. My childhood memories were filled with Jet Li, Jackie Chan, and Bruce Lee; their films were broadcasted via video recorders back then. It was a source of wonder and awe. These films served as gateways to basic knowledge about Chinese civilization. This also gradually increased my interest and understanding of Chinese cultures, such as martial arts, culinary art, dressing style, architectural designs, and many more. In my opinion, these things are full of Chinese culture, Chinese civilization, and Chinese wisdom.

2015年，我在喀麦隆雅温得的孔子学院注册上课，这一年标志着我中国之旅的开始，使我对中国语言文字有了更近的认识和体验，对中国文化有了更深刻的认识和理解。两年后，我在上海浦东机场降落，开始对中国语言、中华文化系统地学习和体验，亲身沐浴在这个具有5000多年不间断发展的文化传统中。

In 2015, I registered at the Confucius Institute Center in Yaoundé, Cameroon, marking the beginning of my China journey, enabling me to have a closer outlook and experience of the Chinese language and culture. It also offered me a more profound knowledge and understanding of this culture. Two years later, I landed at Shanghai Pudong airport to not only deepen my theoretical understanding of the language and culture of this country but also to personally "bathe" in this culture with over 5,000 years of uninterrupted development.

转眼间，四年过去了。在这四年里我过得非常充实，充满了难忘的宝贵经历。我参观了很多历史悠久的地方，给我留下了不可磨灭的记忆。我参观和品尝来了不同地区的菜肴美食，这些菜肴美食里包含着丰富的文化内容，让我发现了中国文化丰富性的一千个方面。

这四年里，我见证了中国不断的进步和对世界独特而难以置信的开放。校园生活也是一个与来自世界各地的人们见面的机会。其中一些邂逅让我们建立了持久的友谊。让我感到每天都有新的收获。

In a blink of an eye, four years have gone by. These four years were full of unforgettable experiences. I visited many places steeped in history, which have left me with special memories. I also visited and tasted different local dishes from various regions. These dishes contained rich cultural content, which also made me discover thousands of Chinese cultural facets richness.

These four years, I've also witnessed China's continuous unique and incredible openness to the world. Campus life also provided a unique opportunity to meet people from all over the world. Some of these encounters created lasting friendships, making me feel every day had new possibilities.

今年也充满了象征意义，中国人民庆祝共产党成立100周年，共产党为中国人民创造的福祉和中华民族的伟大成就得到了展示。今年也标志着中国和喀麦隆建立关系50周年，两国关系有着美好的未来。

This year is also full of symbols; China celebrates the 100th anniversary of the founding of the communist party, whose achievements for the well-being of Chinese people and the greatness of the Chinese nation were demonstrated. It also marks the 50th anniversary of establishing relations between China and Cameroon, which have a bright future.

中国不仅是喀麦隆出口的第一目的地；也是喀麦隆进口货物的第一个原产国，同时也是喀麦隆的主要的外国投资者。通过不同的医疗和教育合作项目，文化和人文交流加强了两国人民之间的相互了解。2007年，浙江师范大学与雅温得二世大学合作成立喀麦隆孔子学院就是一个典型的例子。这一伙伴关系为13万多喀麦隆学生和专业人员提供了汉语和文化培训。它还作为一座桥梁，为有才华的喀麦隆年轻人提供了更多机会来中国，在不同的中国大学接受培训。喀麦隆积极参与共建“一带一路”一定会进一步加强这些已经存在的牢固联系。

China is not only the first destination for Cameroonian exportation; it is also the first country of origin for Cameroonian importations, simultaneously Cameroon's main foreign investor. Through different medical and educational cooperation programs, cultural and human exchanges have strengthened mutual understanding between the two peoples. The establishment of the Confucius Institute of Cameroon through cooperation between Zhejiang Normal University and the University of Yaounde II in 2007 is a prime example. This partnership provided Chinese language and culture training to more than 130 000 Cameroonian students and professionals. It has also helped as a bridge to give more opportunities to talented young Cameroonians to come to China and pursue their training in different Chinese universities. Cameroon's active participation in the "One Belt One Road" initiative further strengthens these existing strong ties.

关于共建“一带一路”倡议，喀麦隆和其他45个非洲国家一样都加入了这个新的全球命运共同体建设。在这个倡议中，非洲青年将发挥重要作用:

首先，青春指的是活力、梦想和勇气。这是一个决定一个人的生活和事业的年龄。

第二，在喀麦隆，60%的人口年龄在25岁以下。这一比例使喀麦隆青年具备更大的力量和影响力，以影响有关他们未来的决定，并在与其他国家人民的交流中发挥更大的作用。

第三，青春也象征着“天真或好奇”。年轻人对影响他们发展的问题表现出诚实、真诚和积极的行动力。年轻人愿意自由坦率地谈论双方遇到的直接影响他们的情况，特别容易跨跃各种障碍积极交流，建立合作关系，相互尊重，有很多方法实现共赢、共同发展的需要。

 Like the 45 other African countries, Cameroon has joined this new globalization community with a shared future regarding developing the "OBOR" initiative.  In this initiative, the African youths will have a fundamental role to play:

1. Youth refers to energy, dreams, courage. It is the age when decisions are made which shape a person's life and career.

2. In Cameroon, 60% of the population is under 25 years old. This ratio gives Cameroonian youth greater power to influence decisions about their future and play a more significant role in exchanges with people from other countries.

3. Youth symbolizes "innocence or curiosity". Young people display honesty and sincerity towards issues affecting their development. Young people are willing to talk freely and frankly about situations that directly affect them.—dispelling various communication barriers focusing on practical ways to build mutually beneficial relations, mutual respect, and harmonious development. 

总之，共建“一带一路”倡议使我们青年掌握了很多的“牌”。我们是“一带一路”合作的生力军，但同时面临多重共同挑战。全球变暖、教育、卫生、青年就业、人工智能的挑战和机遇，人口老龄化、民族主义的兴起和世界各地自我孤立的逻辑，资源的可持续问题以及一些地区的紧张关系，都是等待着青年一代的挑战。青年人必须继续保持开放的心态，从不同的独特经历中相互学习。现在，最终共同发展的力量在于青年这一代人，各国青年要以合作的心态共同承担起这个使命和责任。

In conclusion, the youth of the "OBOR" initiative now have all the cards in their hands. They are the rising force of cooperation whose achievements are undeniable but simultaneously face multiple common challenges. Global warming, education, health, youth employment, the challenges and opportunities of artificial intelligence, the aging of the population, the rise of nationalism and logic's of self-isolation from all over the world, the question of accessibility of resources and inter-community tensions are challenges that await this generation. Youth must continue to be open to learning from each other's unique experiences. Presently, the ultimate power of unified development lies with this generation, and the youth of all countries should shoulder this mission and responsibility with a cooperative mentality.
